In recent years, there have been many cases where natural ventilation utilizing outside air is actively incorporated during the intermediate period and other times. Among these, a ventilation method that uses shafts installed within the building as exhaust and supply air systems has been considered from the basic design stage to efficiently carry out natural ventilation. The selection of appropriate locations and sizes for supply and exhaust openings is of great importance, and conducting thermal airflow simulations allows for insights into the overall operation of the building.
